Concept Note
The collection 'Thread in the Eye' draws inspiration from surrealism, focusing on the beauty of eyes. As a designer and artist, I aimed to create a collection that embodies my personal journey. Growing up with dyslexia, my fascination with eyes began with painting beautiful eyes, evolving into surrealistic interpretations. This progression became integral to my identity, culminating in this collection of ready-to-wear garments infused with wearable art.
These initial sketches served as the foundation for the tufting patterns used in the final collection. Each design was carefully developed to reflect the concept of wearable art. The transformation from hand-drawn illustrations to intricate tufting patterns highlights my ability to bridge creative ideation with practical execution, bringing artistic visions to life in tangible form.
Final range: A fusion of art and wearability
The final range embodies the essence of the collection, blending artistic expression with functionality. Each piece reflects the journey from conceptual sketches to tangible designs, incorporating intricate tufting patterns and innovative techniques. This range showcases my ability to translate creative concepts into wearable, visually compelling garments that tell a unique story.
